Hey all. I love this place. So much great art...(I guess all the newbies say things like that in their first post so I stop. now)
I guess you can help me. I've been obsessed with digital art for about...8 months. Since that I've been using photoshop almost every day. My dream was digital painting but it seemed to be too difficult. I've started learning it thought. Hell I did. It all happened yesterday so I guess I'm the biggest n00b ever. Anywayz, in this...let's see...25 hours I spent like 10 with photoshopping and I have some basic paintings. No sketches used. I need constructive comments because I wanna improve them.
1. It's a bear believe it or not. Just he is a bit low on details and he's not even half finished.

2. It is a helmet. Could you figure that out? How the hell can I improve that helmet to be more helmetish or helmet like or wat??

To make the helmet more helmetish.. I would suggest just reading up on and studying how helmets are in real life. How they "work" and all that. Currenlty your helmet doesnt look too functional.

The rest is basically just up to practice

yeah...guess your right. I guess I choose a bad viewpoint...it doesn'T look helmet like from here. But I did that because it is supposed to be on a soldier who we see in sideview. I'll try what you said...also if I paint the soldier into my helmet, I guess it will look better no?
