hey all. first time postin any concept work on the site and wanted to get a few opinions. It's my first time doing concept design and I'm starting to work up some ideas for a upcomin freelance client (outwar.com, also with a new design of the site, once they get on stable servers). They wanted kind of easy going monster hybrids, about 5 of them. (5 gangsters and 5 pop stars after). Not to hardcore, kind of cartoony, but not to much? eh you know what I mean. Pretty much the sky is open. I did this sketch and inked it during class today. wanted to see if I'm going the right direction. As far as anatomy goes, I was in class and didnt have any reference atm. The only thing thould need real anatomy would be the arm. But I get hasty with my ink sometimes and Ink before i think about things. I'll post more as i sketch some up. I'll be messing with colors once I'm content with the sketches.

very nice! a good thing would be if it is laid back and what not to make it look almost dumb...like a cow...they are real laid back. it looks kinda sad though. happier and a more literal laid back stance. liike reclining or somthing playing like a panda does. do some research on animals you think are laid back. look at freggin sloths. they take 2 days just to climb down a tree. now they are laid back! and they dont look too smart. hope i was of help

I like the anatomy as is, except the head, I would made it more complex according to the rest of the body, perhaps could be nice to use that little line under the head that suggest a "chin" :p, anyway, this is just my humble opinion.
