These are tutorial of my works:
from beginning, make a sketch in grayscale with tablet.
when finish texture, add a color..
we obtain Two points interest.
1.Easy to draw texture
2.Also adjust color.

Thanks for the tutorial. Are you using overlay layers to color over your grayscale?

sometimes use overay, generally i like to use normal layer.:D

You could paint something there and then post the event file for us to see. That would be great.

Incredible, looks like a render. Maybe some ambient light would give it more drama? I appreciate your eye for detail. The group of characters in your site gallery is mindblowing.
HellTaxi, some people paint right over grayscale on another layer.

I'm also curious how the coloring process works.
If you use a normal layer, all that beautiful grayscale texture would be lost under the opaque colors... or the value range would be diminished by opacity.
Color layer option then maybe?

When grayscale make color,use layer effect "color"..and retouch on normal layer. then, you'll see protection of details..^_^ CU~!

The best part I like is how you do the chain mails but thats not created by custom brushes, is it? I never thought its possible to start from grayscale first because it will make the colours desaturated?
