Hey, this is just my kind of rough post of just some stuff i've been working on lately, a couple of the drawings are a little old but i've been coloring them in the past week in PS...

This is done in ballpoint pen in sketchbook, simple PS color underneath.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v311/FriarChuck/cowboyclint.jpg

detail.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v311/FriarChuck/cowboyclintdetail.jpg

This is a ballpoint sketchbook page i did yesterday in classs...i just thought it was prety cool, the way the figures were working together...plus you can learn something about counterculture in the 60's...

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v311/FriarChuck/sketchbook.jpg

This is just a motorcycle type thing, all ballpoint with PS coloring behind.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v311/FriarChuck/bike.jpg

heres a detail:
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v311/FriarChuck/bikedetail.jpg

And lastly, this is something i drew last night for my illustration class...the concept was to take one of the 7 sins or 7 virtues and apply it to one of various subjects, so mine is Diligence in Technology...I have some more work to do on the drawing itself, adding in somemore crap, and then i'm going to PS the color in.http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v311/FriarChuck/Dilitech.jpg

So yea, thats what i have for now, any comments and criticisms are TOTALLY appreciated.
thanks

Hello dude. some fine stuffs you got here. I like how the ballpoint , PS combo gives your drawings a very old - like effect. some nice concepts as well, I see. What i would like to see would be some pencil pieces. oh, and San Andreas fuckin rules (trying to get 100%)

Great drawings, man. Looks like there is a bunch of improvement in those... are those old to new or what? Are you Wes' brother? Heh, your techniques seem to resemble each others.

Keep on keepin' on!

hey, pattern: thanks a lot for the comments, yea, i was pretty satisfied with that page, hence the posting of it...i guess the way i did those ones and the way i do most of my figures is to kind of just let the gesture lead me through...all of these pieces are done using no references so what i usually do is lay down a few compositional lines to help guide the rest of the piece. for the sketchbook ones i laid down the shoulder and elbow points first. on the motorcycle one i laid out a dome kind of shape and where the wheels would be...on the "mad scientist" one i laid down a few diagonals that you can find making the lamp, desk, floor, and top of the doorway. just simple things like that to kind of lead myself on... anyway, heres something i drew yesterday and just finished doing a basic coloring job on...this is kind of a concept for a sniper/photographer in a story that i've slowly been developing..its a 19th century style victorian sci-fi...i've got a lot of western, civil war, aristocratic european, middle eastern, samurai, and various other elements running throughout. but here it is:

this is just the ballpoint pen drawing, thrown into photoshop as a linear burn layer.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v311/FriarChuck/snipernocolor.jpg

Then i created just another layer behind the drawing where i do general color fields that help react with the lines on top to simulate a colored gradient. and i go back in with highlights and shadows to some areas to create just a general volume.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v311/FriarChuck/snipercolored.jpg

heres a little detail:

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v311/FriarChuck/sniperdetail.jpg

so yea, thats what i've got, let me know what you think!
thanks a lot.

Nice stuff you got in here, I like the effect you've got with the combination of the ballpoint and PS... makes it feel very textural, like a watercolor or something along those lines. I'd like to see more! What school do you goto out in KC?

cotron: thanks a lot, i was kinda worried posting underpaintings on this site where everyone is posting heavily painted works, so its nice to hear some good feedback. the line drawing is pretty important to me. actually i go to school in minneapolis at the Mpls College of art and design (MCAD)...but i'm from Kansas City originally.
thanks again for the comments.

Holy Crap Cburt, what an entrance you've made! Your stuff is off the chain, and your ballpoint and PS skillz are mad tight.
But seriously, Your illustration work is very nice, and you have a good way of manipulating large solid areas of tone alonw with your line work. Its not hyper-realistic, but It is believeable and I feel makes your stuff pretty intriguing. Very strong work, are you planning on going into illustration?
Please post more soon!

while i'm at it...heres another dump of illustration stuff i've done lately or in the recent past.

this is a combination of pen drawings and adobe vector work printed off onto watercolor paper and painted on. concept was "playground through the eyes of a child".

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v311/FriarChuck/playground.jpg

heres a lithograph i did a while back...

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v311/FriarChuck/kitties.jpg

and another lithograph with gouache, colored pencil and collaged gold leaf egg.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v311/FriarChuck/goosegg.jpg

and heres an inkwash i did earlier this semester...

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v311/FriarChuck/owls.jpg

i'll be posting some more sketchbook kinda stuff as soon as the semester is over this week..bleh, i'll finally have time to do shit i really want to.

-Keepiru- thanks a lot for your comments, i was an illustration major but i just recently switched to drawing as a major...wasn't really happy with how the ill. dept. was run at my school and i kinda have some of my own concepts i want to work on instead.

anyway, like i said, i'll get more sketchbook stuff soon. till then, lemme know what you think. thanks!

Very cool thread! I'm glad I checked it out! I'm really enjoying those ballpoint sketches. I've always been a fan of what you can do with those bad boys. They feel more comfortable to me in my hand then even pencils at times, y'know? Very nice work. The inkwash is one of my favs tho. I wish I knew how to mess with that stuff. I'm experimenting but not really getting anywhere. lol Keep it up!

FINALS!!! AGH...anyway, yea, finals means some good work and some not so good work...heres something i did between 3 and 8 this morning for class today and i think it turned out pretty well...this is just about a quarter section of the full painting, but i thought it was the only part that was really worth posting for now. let me know what you think. its a watercolor/inkwash painting.
word.
my one problem is that i think i placed his head a little too far back, but we'll just say he's mid-movement for now...

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v311/FriarChuck/samurai.jpg

heres a torso detail:

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v311/FriarChuck/samuraicrop.jpg

and i like the legs the best:

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v311/FriarChuck/samurailegs.jpg

thank you guys for all of the feedback. Zebz, i'm totally with you on the ballpoint comfortability. i also like the fact that they don't smudge like pencil sketches will. plus, i've found that working in ballpoint for a long time REALLY helps out your pencil sketches cause of the light to dark process that you have to abide by with pen.
anyway, lemme know what you guys think! now, back to finals....ugh...

FINALLY!!! COMPUTER LABS ARE OPEN!! bout damn time, but at least CCA (my frisco host school) has a lot more scanner stations than MCAD (my mpls home school). anyway, heres a drop of some sketchbook stuff, only the yasir one is a completed drawing, and that ones only complete cause i have a version with photoshop coloring too, which i'll post once i bring my harddrive to school. anyway, enjoy, let me know what you think, C&C is most appreciated!

-cotron, i agree with you a bit about the blocking in the samurai, i think the piece works better when you see it in person though, with the full composition, that section is about a third of the full piece, but maybe it only works better cause its the best part of the piece. the rest wasnt that good heh. but, yea, i'll try to work on that a bit. thanks for your crits

heres yasir, for an illustrated portrait class last semester, the uncolored version.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v311/FriarChuck/yasir.jpg

heres the regular sketch pages, in chronological order after my winter break art withdrawal.

This feels like a really unique thread. I think its because you're not getting TOO hung up on form, and you;re letting your design sensibilities wander (in a good way). Oh, and I can't even begin to express how much i like that image with all the cats. A lithograph? Does that mean there are multiples? And if so....how much would it take to get you to part with one? seriously.

whatup charlie!

It was good meeting you in SF, wish you had let me look at your stuff while we were there. Great drawings you've got in here man. You described it as minimal and I guess I can see why but you get some great details in the clothing and facial expressions. Very unique, and great colors too.

My fav is the one for the childrens playground, great job conceptually and I thing the simple line-work works really well. I'd encourage you to move in that direction, maybe vary up the line-weights a little. I dunno, Just an' idea.

keep em' coming dude.

thank you all for the comments i really appreciate them

ODT- thanks man, you should definitely give ballpoint a try man, its a whole different world, and it really helps pencil work.

Nike- thanks a lot, i was pretty happy with that one as well heh

McLean- haha, thanks a lot for your comments man, i really appreciate. as for the cats- yea, i've got a few extras, so what i was thinking is perhaps an artists' trade is in order? get back to me about it cause i'm totally down for that.

Steak- thanks man, at the SF thing i didnt really have much with me...i had a shistey laserprint of the school one, a few sketchbook pages and some like 32% redux's of some illustrations so it wasnt much to show. thanks about the school one, that one turned out pretty well. i was thinking about going in and doing some touchups and improvements to the linework (now including your recommendation of varying line-weights) and doing a full several foot in dimension banner print of it, make it a little more of a wall piece. thanks for your comments man, its good to hear from you!

knowmind- thanks a lot man, yea its a pretty simple technique that really preserves the drawing aspect of the character creation (if thats what you're going for)...pretty simple way to block it all in, i like it pretty well

CITIZEN EX- thanks man, the variety is due to all the different kinds of classes i've been doin lately, feelin kinda scattered right now though heh. thanks a lot!

i'll be posting more stuff as it comes, just picked up one of those sweet japanese cartridge brush pens at the japan center in SF so i'm gonna get that thing goin. thanks again for all the C&C!! keep it comin! haha

<3 <3 <3 I'm lovin' your thread more and more, bro. And yes, you're makin' that ballpoint tast soooo good!

It's been a while since I've stumbled in so I thought I owed a comment. I find your "fashion sense" to be very good. Please share some insight as to how you design some of these outfits, equipments, etc. That's an area I struggle with greatly. My figures are too bad but when I cloth them or pump 'em up with armor they stary lookin' even more crappy. Please help! You seem to be doing very well with your stuff.

I'm liking the idea of the saint street vendor. Are those lightbulbs forming a halo? Very cool. Can't wait to see it finished. Alright, you've gotta fan. ;) Get back to work.

steak-tron
January 31st, 2005, 02:02 AM
great stuff cap'm. You get some cool looks with those characters, I like the intricate machinery on the vendor.

something that stands out to me: I like how you vary the scale on the intricate parts but the hands and feet on your characters look a little small. I usually try and oversize mine a little so they end up turning out the right size (sorta). It's something about detailing hands and feet that shrinks em', if that makes any sense.

keep em' coming. :)

cburt
January 31st, 2005, 02:16 AM
hey thanks a lot for the comments and crits guys, i really appreciate them.

steak- i totally know what you mean on the hands and feet, i just happen to let it slip a bit...this great teacher i had for foundation figure drawing once told me that exaggeration was the key to believability. like, if you exaggerate the way the shoulders bend back or how far the legs are spread in a stance, by the time you've rendered a bit, it just makes the figure look involved and in motion....same could be said for hands and feet..i'll work on that

Zebz- thanks a lot for stoppin in man. yea, those lightbulbs are the halo on him, i think i'm gona try to do a digipaint job on it at some point and i think that'll really pop em out...as for the costume designing, i have some heavy influences as far as time periods and overall looks that i go for...i'm really interested in a lot of 1800's kinda victorian feel, lots of samurai stuff, cowboy, lots of desert and arabian wear...i really look for things that are utilitarian to the user and look comfortable and hardly ever very cumbersome...i also really like collars heh...i dont know why, they're easy to add on for compositional aids...i need to stray from them actually. but yea, i guess its just lookin around and picking and choosing things you see in the books and on the streets...the vendor guy is really just a cleaned up version of some of these homeless guys on the streets out here in the bay that have shopping carts filled with sh*t. anyway, hope that helps out some.

thanks for stoppin in

hey thank you guys so much for stoppin in, i really appreciate it.

zebz- thanks a lot, yea i figured i'd post some WIP's just to show like how all over the place they get...i've got a really all over the place process that i go through...as for the inner meanings biz, i know what you mean, to get my BFA i've gotta do a lot of the same kinda stuff. so what i've started doing lately is looking at all of my pieces and pulling out some of the things i do on a regular basis when designing characters...like i have a lot of characters with bags and luggage and kind of a nomadic appearance (in my eyes anyway heh) that kinda just relates to how i kinda feel, in effect making them all self portraits. stuff like that tends to work on those conceptual thinkers. when in need, look to your subconscious heh. thanks again, your stuff is comin along nicely as well.

Exe- thanks a lot, i'm actually doin a digi-paint of that environment as an experiment...more to come on those for sure!

badger- thanks a lot for your comments, and thanks for stoppin in

Mos- thanks a lot, ballpoint is definitely my weapon of choice heheh...glad the girlies are workin for you, i'm gonna do a lot more work on catchin up on em.

Jade- thanks a lot, i love lookin at peoples little notes too...it can have nothing to do with the drawing but seem so appropriate and important to the page

heres a few drawings i did in my class tonight: "life drawing: the head and hands"...currently, we're just working on head anatomy, structure and what not. i did these in ballpoint and brush pen tonight in my sketchbook..and also, i took some photo's of my teacher's work to post eventually as an aid to some of the people who need some help with anatomy, thats right...my tuition is paying for you guys too! haha, so enjoy

so let me know what YOU think!

and i promise to start a thread of my teacher's drawings soon, i think they'll be a huge help for anyone in need of anatomy work..they're really good drawings and they're helping me a lot.

thanks for stoppin in

Awesome thread and progression cburt! I really really like your style... especially in that vector / illustrator piece about a 'playground through the eyes of a child'.

Awesome as usual. What year are you? I'm still trying to get my school crap done too. I've got so much to learn yet. I feel like I'm so far behind. Especially when you look at someone else's sketch thread like yours or maybe even Wes'! lol I need help. Hardcore help. I have to have a BFA portfolio in by the end of this year so I'd better get really good really fast. Know what I mean?

BTW, where'd you snag those Hi-Tec's at? I've been lookin' all over for 'em. If there's some in your area maybe you could snag a few for me and mail 'em my way? I'd Pay Pal ya with a little extra! lol I've been wanting to try those out and can't get my hands on any.

Anyhow, awesome, awesome. The chick at the end is great. Thanks for the inspiration. Too bad I'm at work. And then I have class. Life isn't fair. :er:

awesome update. a few more and maybe you'll have the privilege of being a printout hung up in my studio spaces. portraits are not bad. ever try rendering with longer strokes? it may help give it a more malleable, fleshy feel to it. i like your figures a lot. i have a real hard time "page-planning" as my figure instructor calls it. i always seem to draw a bit to big and get focused on certain parts throughout the gesture which makes the proportion wack, rather than moving along the composition at a balanced rate. any particular mass of the body you start with? I've heard arms and legs, torso and breast, i don't know. once in a while i can pull a few good pieces out of my two hour classes once a week.

cburt
February 10th, 2005, 12:50 AM
hey pattern, good to hear from you again haha, glad to hear youre liking it...i do need to figure out a way to incorporate those long strokes into my work, but its kinda hard to accomplish with ballpoint pen and at such small scale...but definitely something i need to work on...thanks for that advice. as far as how i start, i usually begin with the face and head to get my size constraints down and quickly go into the gesture of the figure, where i'll quickly plot out where the major axis' and joints are...i like working with the horizontal axis lines for the shoulders and hips, since often they'll both be at different angles, it helps push the movement a lot..and then i'll throw dots or circles down where the elbows, wrists and knees are. hope that helps a little.
thanks again

hey thanks pattern...yea maybe one day i'll try to kick some finished ones out, but right now those are from class and we're working with between 15 and 20 minutes of time per pose. but later in the semester i'll probably be doing some more finished portraits. as for tuition, its the same range as the rest of the art schools out there, but i'm actually doin school in minneapolis...just originally from kansas city. but this semester i'm in san francisco on an exchange program.

Nice updates, bro! It's good to see you workin' so hard! The paints are a nice change of pace too. I hope you enjoy it and maybe work it into your ballpoints more often! Those portrait studies are really nice too. Do you sort out any understructure first or do you just sort of dive in with them? Keep it up!!

Speaking of ballpoints, I went by Office Depot and snagged a Zebra pen like you mentioned. The tip isn't as fine as yours (this is a .7 and yours is a .5) but holy crap does it work like a dream! The ink flows much better than the crappy bics I was using before. It's all I've been using! lol Whenever I get an update I'll let you know so you can see my deviations with da' ballpoint. :tihi:

Awesome work, can't wait for more. BTW, I'd love to collab sometime too. If you'd lower yourself down to working with me!

thanks everyone for checkin out my stuff

pattern- if your asking about the portfolio i used to get scholarships, no, theres probably no way i'm able to get that to you right now...the slides and photos that i know of are tucked away in a box in the basement of my apt. building in minneapolis..haha, so no chance...and yea, the painter thing was done with a wacom tablet, it was my first time every really using one of those too...lot of fun once you get used to it...looking forward to using it and painter a lot more soon.

imageproof- thanks a lot for your encouraging words, i appreciate it

zebz- for my portraits i usually lay down the basic sphere of the head and add the jaw extension onto it, then place the major axis points...thats all done in like 15 seconds or so along with general placement of lips eyes and nose...then i lay down one general and very light value shape which (depending on the lighting) usually goes from forehead all the way down to the chin....i feel like thats the easiest way to break into it quickly and really create the volume, and it gets you thinking about the whole portrait before things get too skewed...to get that stuff done generally takes about a minute for me, then its just looking at some of the other individual value shapes within. this has been the most effective way for me to do portraiture, but i'm by no means an expert, hope that helps out some. as for a colab, dude, no lowering whatsoever man, i'd love to do a colab, the structure i suggested for odessa was one we'd talked about at school, so we could either do that or trade off on an individual drawing...lemme know what you want and i'm down for it man. thanks for stoppin in again, get your stuff updated!! haha

ok, so this is a kinda wimpy update...we didnt have a real class tonight so i dont have portraits this time :dead: but next week i'll have some more for sure...so actually, all i have for now is an update on my diego drawing...just a little more filled in and it kinda shows how i'll change things as i go, you'll see....i'm not entirely happy with this drawing, and i kinda had a realization of some things i need to be doing in my pages that i'm gonna put into affect starting tonight...so here he is, still not finished:
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v311/FriarChuck/diegoupdate.jpg

odessa- mike, thanks a lot, havent started drawing RON yet, but i've got a lot of free time this weekend to get crackin on it...thats awesome you're in one of karekan's classes, i had him for foundation figure drawing and he was great...super sharp and knowledgable and actually does good work to go along with it haha...yea, that wacom tablet is awesome once you get the hang of using it...

pattern- thanks a lot!

isabellerose- haha, thank you, i'll keep it going for sure...like mickey-d's i'm lovin' it...

ecco- thanks for your comments, i think that the main thing for me to work on with the painting is just to keep on practicing though haha...and i'll be doin a bit of that shortly. but, yea, i totally wanna start making my own brushes in there so i can get some with more textures...theres so many brushes and the effects they create are very unique, so its gonna take a while to really learn that program...try it out or just flat out buy it if you get the chance, well worth it so far.

icey- thanks

alexandertheduk- haha, you're too kind man, thanks...as for drawing people from the front, since you're drawing on the subway, somethin that i've done here on the SF subway is when its dark out or when in the tunnel, the windows go black and allow you to see a decent reflection in them and i draw from the reflection if i can't get a good feel about lookin directly at em...but i've never been to NY let alone ridden on the subway...i'll totally be droppin in on your thread so no worries haha. thanks again

Ian- thanks a lot for your compliments, i really appreciate em...i'm gona try to do some more on those environments, still a total novice at em, and DO check back more often man, i'm tryin to keep a lot of work posted on here...well, whats a lot for me anyway. heh, thanks again

voodoo- hey, thanks a lot for your C&C, i really appreciate it...yea, cloth isn't the easiest thing for me for sure and i'm always tryin to figure out better ways to make it convincing, but i think it may just have to do with dumbin it down a little.

thanks again all of you, i really appreciate your comments....don't really have anything to post for today, but i've got some stuff i'm workin on thats a little different...took a step back from my work cause i was gettin bored with just doing the straight on drawings of a dude standin around, so i'm tryin workin with space and dynamism a bit more...we'll see how it works out. :canadian:

pattern- yea, those side planes can be a real bitch, my life drawing teacher said that its just such a mystery as to how to work em in. i think of it as trench warfare and those sideplanes are no-man's land. but i'll see what i can do about it...its probably more easily activated by the lighting though, right now these all show the blasted out lights comin at the head from both sides and their prime hitpoints are right on the temples causing that whole area to lose some of its planes. i'll see if i can work with some more dramatic lighting

max- thank you so much man, i'm glad you liked. i'm trying to push myself more into that realm and your support is a big motivation. >:D

I like the arm on this one (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v311/FriarChuck/primemin.jpg) and this one (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v311/FriarChuck/jedi.jpg) is excellent and deserves a color layer :)
On this one (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v311/FriarChuck/irvine.jpg) the eyes seem to be a bit too much to the front of the face (I think).

I especialy like the style you did on the motorcycle!

More great work from you I'm not surprised I wish we all could some where warm to draw during the winter.Time to be serious- I love the prime minister he looks like slimey politician. My fav is the hand study. And you say you can't draw creatures. Also your lighting and line work is really starting to show especially the subtley you acheive in the eye studies. Your definently on the right path so keep it coming.-I've got the helmet and the shoulder peices done Iwill post them soon. Otherwise enjoy the sunshine and hanging out with cool people bastard!!

heres a page of hands from tonights class...we just got into doing them today so i'm kinda rusty on the observation of them.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v311/FriarChuck/handpage.jpg

and heres that jedi WIP... still not done heheh, but i'm gettin really into it so hopefully that'll be kinda cool when its done...
the tones on the jedi are workin the way i wanted em to for once, pretty velvety. and the dude in the corner feels off to a good start

anyway, sorry i dont have more to show, but C&C are most welcome.

I like the subject matter and style
Very accessible with an historic feel.
Also I lke how you evolve the compositions.
I need to work on developing my sketches into more
complex concepts so I am interested in your process
of creation.
Some of my drawings share could use some color added.
Where is the setting that allows you to

mike- thanks for the advice man, i really appreciate it...dude, you gonna be around mpls this summer? i'm back in june and we gotta do some hang out and draw time.

darkos- i hear you man, you just gotta take it nice and slow from the start and let em build up, patient medium for sure...kinda why i've been using pencil lately heh

bustarail- thanks a lot, i really appreciate it

liam- hey thanks for stoppin back in man, good to haer from you again...yea, i agree, somethings up with the stance of the figure but at this point in the game its kinda tough to fix it in the figure, so i'm gonna see what i can do about the surroundings to make it look right

dynasty- haha joe, you're crazy man...we should do the hotel crawl soon for sure, and no, you should'nt have listened to your teachers horror stories.

that goes for you too mainloop, get ready for another crawl

d thurman- hey thank you very much, i try to bring out some history in my work, so i'm glad its showing...as for the coloring sketches, when you scan it to photoshop, turn the drawing layer into either a 'liner burn' layer or a 'multiply' layer in layer options and that'll turn those white pixels to invisible pixels..hope that helps

ok, heres some stuff i've been doing, been having fun with pencil lately:

How are ya doing man! pretty dam impresive by the looks
of this works he he, I never have enougth of your crosshaching
tecniques, this is IMO the best portrait you have done so far:

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v311/FriarChuck/vince.jpg

its got some crazy shading variations and and good caring for the
planes of the face, it really blowed my mind.
The best davise I can give ya is maybe try to unificate the shadows,
try seening them as flowing shapes and not as separated spots of dark.

take a look t this one:
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v311/FriarChuck/greta1.jpg
it has some problems on the definition of shading,

were as this one has a way more solid start:
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v311/FriarChuck/greta2.jpg

did you see how you masified the shadow tones like a line on the
rigth side of the face, the ligth was coimg form left and you had a strong
bounce ligth form the rigth, if you skwint your eyes, you will
see that shadows fallow rithms all the time, you just need to find em,
the more conecctions you find in shadows the more soild your figures will
look, this becomes harder if you have multiple ligth sources, and
if the face has a lot of wrinkles that bounce light in all direcctions
it just and old advise form one of teachers, and Im just learing how to
shade so take my advise with a pinch of salt he he :P

and at last I wanted to thank you for the indeep comments
about my work they were very helpfull and I really apreciate em :D

see ya later and keep on rocking man!!!!

very impressive stuff overall... on some of your drawings, had i not read that you were using ballpoint pen, i would've guessed pencil. i should totally be trying pen.

what drew me out of the wordwork was that i totally recognized this model as Terry, as i have had him as a model a whole lot of times at AAU. great likeness. :)

Sweet work as usual. :^^: I really like the hatch-like style you use to render the forms. I think it would be interesting to see how your stuff might look if you tried a different approach, maybe a smother value transition. Maybe an idea for experimentation. You've got some very cool styles going on though. I'd like to see more of your imagination stuff though, honestly. lol I know I shouldn't say that because this stuff is defiantely going to help you a ton... but, you're so freaking creative man. I miss that stuff. :tihi: Keep doing what you're doing. I'm looking forward to an OC with ya soon.
