Hey, these are good.
I especially like the 3rd one from the top and the 4th one from the bottom.
keep it up, and take advantage of those workshops.

Jetpack - Thanks man, Im glad you like my approach.. Im always worried that it looks a little too generic-AAU-style..

Do you draw from refrences or from imagination. It just looks like you laid down lines without even thinking, they just go in exactly the right place... I wish...

I really like these. Exceptional.

Some have a disney-esque quality

hah i forgot to see the replies to this

3dway: thanks, interesting observation, actually there is a bit of automation to it after a while, you know the feeling of charcoal, drawing overhand etc, you
know what kind of line you want to make and how to make it.. these are all from life.. theres no way i can be this loose from my imagination.. that would take super-clarity in my mind, which i dont have.. heh blame the disney-esque quality on academy of art university.. im actually trying to get away from that.. its not "me"...

jetpack32- no, shame on me, i was not able to go.. wow someone actually wanted to meet me.. how sweet.. nah id've loved to put real bodies to the names on this site, maybe some other workshop...

krispee- rough newsprint is trash and shold not be manufactured.. its a rip off.. if you wanna get an approximate feel for smooth newsprint (the only kind i use) take a stack of newspapers and clamp it to a drawing board and draw on it.. its close to that but better..

This last batch has some great stuff. This is my weakest area in school. I'm going to try and focus on it this semester.

I love the pastel soldiers.
