So me and a few other of my chums at Turbine (Including WallyChairMover - now Maginnis) have started this "Daily Art Assignment" thing. The concept is, we put a bunch of random words in a hat, draw 2 out every day, and do some sort of drawing based on the words. So I will start with these 3, and try to update it daily with the new ones...... oh, and weekends count as 1 assignment.
Words: "Safe" and "Sorrow"

Words: "Ancient" and "Furniture" (This one doesnt make any sense, but I just liked the image)

TOday's words: "Family" and "Fruit"

Hey that sounds like cool exercise and that family of fruits looks really nice. Have you ever heard of "magnetic poetry"? It's a box filled with little words(magnets) and you're supposed to make poetry or whatever you want out of em. This might add another level to the exercise you're already doing.:)

hey, you're back! I like the fruit family...if their mouth is inside the bitten-out part, who made the bite?
cool idea for regular drawing, i'll be looking for more. Are the other guys making threads for their random drawings (and I just haven't seen them yet) or might they be posting here in the thread you started?

Hey Mutton! Sounds like a fun exercise.
These look great. I especially like rotten look on these fruits faces. You must not like your fruits and vegetables. The one with the figure has some nice movement to it. And the spikey helmet is a cool design.

Ok, here was our weekend assignment (wish I had more time to spend on it, but it was a busy weekend):
The words were: "Spacecraft" and "Pedigree". I realize pedigree has meaning beyond dog-related things, but I thought this was a cute idea.

that "hourned roosterpig" F-ing rocks! great design, render and color. If this is the calibre of work you're doing all day at Turbine they're not paying you enough (I have no idea what your salary is, but it's inadequate).

no problem getting behind on posts if you hit us with a heap all at once. Nice nice drawings, too! I'm really digging the intricate details in the costumes. You have an easy loose feel to your drawings, but most of your humanoids are posed stiffly -- maybe draw some dancers to open up the limbs you draw from imagination?
