Wow, what a treat.. I bought that issue with the first girl... It was really amazing work.. ove the textures and the way you created that metal was just amazing... I cant wait to see more of your work... Maybe even a Thunderdome entry would be fantastic!!!

Really nice stuff, the texture on the first one is really good. I have the Heavy Metal with the first chic on the cover.

Odd thing is, the top pic is the only issue of Heavy Metal I've ever bought, just because I loved the cover.

Yeah, my bad I should explain. The 'Elf' battle chick was specially done for HM for an issue next year. In retrospect maybe I shouldn't have posted her up, and left her until after the image was published.

any chance of doing her hair blond instead?
makes the contrast more apparent.

Holly cow, excellent work, I've allready studied the first one for quite a while since I have that issue of HM :D Just ondering one thing tho, in the second pic the background on the right side of the girl seems like a blurred photo?..

Not sure if it's a photo, but the face and pose is similar to a picture of a Playmate(?) named Aria Giovanni. She got dem big old hips that are fun to draw.
First one is really nice. Great job.

Hey guys, thanks for the questions.
1. Is it a photo ?
Yes the background on the right is from a photo ref. I am sort of an amature photographer and I take shots for my backgrounds and for texture refs. I luuuuv textures!

2. Is it Aria ?
Ooooh yes it is! She was rendered on Painter from a sketch I did ;)

Ahh, interesting way of doing it... Im buying myself a camera in a week or two, maybe I should try that :^^:
