It's muddy mud-skipper, it's muddy... :)

This ancient fish is a long extinct branch on the same tree that holds modern lung fish. Despite being wonderfully to it's enviorment, with it's primitive air breathing lungs along with gills, it's upturned mouth, so it won't swallow excess mud, it's fins have adapted a sort of "walk," and it has very rough skin, allowing better grip and the disdain of predators. Unfortunetly, a 3°c drop in ocean temperature meant only females were hatched and the species become extinct soon after.
10 min. sketch, 10 min. PS coloring job

This is George. George took part in the casting for "Finding Nemo" and they said, they will call him. Guess what? They never did.
At least, he says, his wife thinks, he's sexy.
Poor old George, doesn't he know his wife is deeply in love with Flipper? :[

Isn't cool how the strangest topics bring out some of the most wonderful sketches? All of your posts are so good!

Mine is 1 hour in my new copy of Painter IX, which I'm still (obviously) in the "playing with" stage.

Goran -- the light reflection on that sucker is perfect. Just perfect.
Hamsta -- YES! That kicks! I love what you've done with this. Love it!

I've been wanting to do some daily sketches for a while, so here goes! This took about an hour, including me dusting off the tablet and getting the damn thing working. It's a pencil sketch painted in Photoshop, I think it turned out pretty good considering I haven't used the Wacom in several years. I hope to get back in the swing of things soon.
