If anyone could give me some genuinely critical feedback I would appreciate it very much. The piece is nearly finished, but if I could improve it before I put the finishing touches on it I would be stoked

Well, I like it so far, but there are a few things that I think that you could improve. First of all the way the hands just droop down like that doesn't make them seem to have much mass in them. As if the muscles of the hand were to be taken out, they resemble hanging gloves. If you look at your hand in a similar position, its more tense and not so "hangy." They also look a bit long, but I think that is intentional, so that's not that big of a deal!

Another biggy IMO are the legs. They don't seem to have much mass, and don't look like they're going to support that big torso of his. I like the positioning of them, but IMO they would look better if they were thicker.

Umm. IMO I would like to see more texture on the wings, and a bit more definition in the eyes. Looks really good though:thumbsup:

Great feedback, man. I didn't even see that the hands looked strange until you mentioned it. Actually the thin legs were a conscious design decision. par the story the character comes from a planet of low gravity so the same physical constraints that we earthlings face don't apply; otherwise I agree. The wings are not finished bu I will take into consideration what you suggested.

The body of the guy looks for me little like a clay-man. More sharp texture on it?

Like it was said before, his hands look really weird.. almsot like its not part of him and jsut like a wet tag flug over his forearm... Also his body isnt symetrical.. if you notive his shoulders dont really match up to one another.. also his chest is the same way, btu taht might jsut befrom his arms pushing into his chest, so i guess you could get away with taht!

The arms look ALOT better. THey look jsut like arms should. look at his shoulders, how his body is asymetrical.. I would bring out the left shoulder moreso it matches up with his other shoulder..

oh nice change, that left hand looks 100times better

his right side looks alittle stretched out, and i agree about the legs needing some more weight, but not too much
and it would be nice to see a little more texture in the wings

great work though, impressive

the tools around his belt are really sharp and intricate - maybe too much so? his body, especially the wings, lacks that kind of definition.

could i suggest toning down the tools a bit? they're a bit distracting from that great expression it has on it's face.

ari, great concept. it's quite, uh, out of the ordinary - very cool. absolutely love the detail in the face.
