Ive seen one demo in painter (it was linked form this site) that showed the actual painting progress of a painitng.. It was cool to see hwo it worked out, and Id like to see more of them..

Does anyone know where I could find demos like that? They really help learn the technique to put everythign down and refine it into a good painting.

well - the subject has been in our attetntion too.
there are few problems about it - first - not everyone works a painting only in Painter. Usualy it's a go back and forth with Photoshop and painter.
seccondly - in order to hve a demo you have to finish the whole piece at once.
Try to find paintchat - you'll get some demos online.
Hopefully if the old "classroom" gets back online, we'll post some "recorded scripts". But it's usualy up to Jason. ;)

Ok thanks for the input. I understand about the photoshop/painter thing.. I saw one of these a few weeks ago and it was really interesting to watch hwo the artist put everythign down on his canvas, so i was jsut hoping that some people might know a where a few more are..

DragonGX, I haven't seen many Painter Demo's. Here is a Painter script session of a 30 min life drawing pose I saved as an animated GIF (http://www.jsim.com/art/life2/day2/blueorange2.GIF) of this image (http://www.jsim.com/art/life2/day2/b11-3.jpg). Not sure if it will be worth your while only 300x250 pixels and just under 0.5Meg to download.

hey Oblio i kind of remember seeing a painter class forum, not to sure. but anyhow i wasn't try'n to lean it thenand now i am. It would be nice to have that class back up..

That is what Im talking about. Although the one I did see actaully showed the brush strokes.. Im not sure wht type pf fiel it was, as it was embedded in the web page, but it was almsot liek a movie of the artist drawing each stroke... It really helps to see hwo other artists lay down their colors and define areas, and then tighten everythign up..
