I think you would gain a great amount of value from joining the CA academy (another forum here). You do the assignments and they are critiqued by members. You get a chance (missed by many of us) to start out right and really lay the foundations for some serious learning. There are so many elements to drawing well and it's so much harder to unlearn bad habits than it is to learn correctly to start with.

I would also recommend a few anatomy books (Bridgeman, Civardi, Pogany) in order to see how to draw the figure. These aren't bad, but with study and practice, you could really start producing some "wow" stuff. I also recommend a daily sketchbook.

Keep going!

Hi Machine Spirit:

You should get more practice on anatomy and perspective.

your figures are kinda Flat and unbalanced.

Check the Andrew Loomis books for reference and I recommend the Paul Hogart books too (this guy base a lot on specific Anatomy stuff,... maybe to deep, but Loomis´books are great) .

Try to copy drawings that you find good and you like to get the idea how to solve diferent positions.

Keep it up!

hope this helps...
