I made this web site for Joe Madureira a fan site and for learning how to write html. I would really appreciate if you guys take a look and tell me what you think, I've been working hard on it. I hope this is cool here.

Hey, good job! :) I especially like the pencil sketches.
One thing I'm not so fond of though is the navigation, you hide the button descriptions and display them only on mouseover.. That's somewhat confusing if you don't know the site, you have no way of telling where all the links go without hovering over each of them.
Oh, and I'm wondering.. did you ask for permission to put the pictures online? You don't want to get yourself into copyright trouble

well I asked for permission from the old Mad! site to use the pencils and inks. All the other scans are from books I own and I thought since as long as I purchased the material that I have the right to use it. Wouldn't it would be the viewer that would get into trouble with it if they used it,maybe I'm wrong I don't really know. It has been along time since my copywrite class.

Hey, cool site! Its a great source of inspiration. Thanks for putting it together. Functionally, Its a great site! I do have some suggestions design-wise though.
regarding type, The colors you use could be incorperated into the overal graphic design of the site. For instance, instead of using black for the basic type on the main page, how about a dark warm grey so that is gels with the grey + maroon colors you have established int the background and logo. Speaking of which, how about bringing the maroon/red colors of the logo into the other design aspects of your site, so that its not so isolated, being restricted to the logo only. I would suggest a thin red border around your icons in the navigation bar, and another around the main windows where the text and glleries appear. I think it would also look nice if you added a lighter grey into your color scheme somehow so that you get a good value range. A light grey would also draw the scroll-bars into the overall design scheme, so theyre not such an eyesore.
Oh yeah, another thing... the icons right now look really eclectic because you used the actual colors from the comic pages. If you knocked them all down to value only and then tinted them with a reddish color they would start to appear more cohesive. And if you change the type that appears when you roll your mouse over them to match the type you used in the logo, it would again help give the page a much more cohesive appearence.
These are only suggestions, take em or leave em. I, for one have your Joe Mad site bookmarked.

The colorist's name is Arnold "Arnistotle" Tsang. Not only did he color that street fighter image, he's been coloring a lot of Mad's stuff recently including the Dragonkind images and Thundercats cover. See some o' his work here...

I love your site man. Joe Madureira is my favorite comic book artist right now. His newer stuff is just feakin' awesome. His art is what mine aspires to be as good as in about two years.
One question though. Who does the colors on the Street Fighter stuff? That guy deserves a round of applause too.
Madman!

the guy that does the coloring is Arnold Tsang

I almost forgot to post this one. It's some more Exarch concept work of Mad's
http://www.joemadfan.com/exarch/gpexarch.jpg
The picture quality is bad it was real small picture from the latest Gamepro magazine. Which also has a 4 page mini story of Street Fighter not by Mad! though, but by Long Vo. It's a real good issue a Mad! interview and picture, 4page mini SF story, and a MGS3 trailer disk.
