ooooh! these are nice! I like the second one the best, for its composition, but I love the rendering of the first one. One question though, how come you don't finish em?:(

Hey Kyri mate

Good to see you around. Havn't seen you on any boards very much, thought you'd sort of dropped the art gig, and it was only your bro still around.

I think a see some Sweet in your work eh? :) The sketches are looking good man. Sorry, I can't offer any critiques...I'm useless.

What are you up to these days? You doing freelance work aswell, whats the story?

iwasink-
Hey, thanks. These are just prelimenaries sketches really, which is how I work roughing out and creating a painting. The third here was the original rough for this painting for example.

Immi- Hey man hows it going, been a while, huh?... No, art has always been with me since I was a kid so I wont be
dropping it at any time, now or in the future.

Mainly been getting on with various freelance jobs. I haven't had that much time to join in with forums in general, occassionally will look at some of them. Although there's been such a great showcase of talent here including some great inspirations that I couldn't resist being inspired to post.

cos- Hey, bro thanks a lot, I'm glad you liked them.

Those are awesome Kyri. I really like the last thing u posted. How do you do that texture in the background with the candle? Is that a square chalk in painter or what? I just started painter and I am looking for as many tips as possible. I wana be a concept artist so i need to learn. Good job your art is awesome

Tastey- Thanks for the compliment. I work using photoshop not painter. There are no strict rules regarding the process/technique I use. I find it's best to experiment. I will put together a step by step tutorial if it will help. The texture was built up using a variety of custom brushes.

Here are a few more concept sketches.

These are nice Kyri. I love your sketchy and loose look. After all they are sketches. But in a jiff, they become masterpieces. I love the last one!:)

Considering you and Cos have the same genes(and have visual influences over each other) its no surprise theres some pretty tight similarities in your work. Which, I bloody well love.
So enjoy the nice combination of rigid lines and distinct angles.. and then you toss some really cloudy atmoshperic blends etc in there, really gives a sweet contrast.
Alien and the girls head are narly as.

Dig your work man. Keep it coming..

Kyri, excellent sketches, loving the very loose line work and build up of forms of the figures with the painterly strokes.

Espescially loving the alien pic, crazy atmosphere. Post more!

iwasink - I'm glad you liked the loose sketchy stuff, you're developing a really nice style yourself.

Oblio - thanks for the kind words.

Lukias - Thanks, I think a few have been inspired by your stuff, you have one of the tightest drawing style I have seen lately, keep that shit up man.

cos - cheers bro. :)
