I worked on this for a good 40 hrs. It's like a comeback to oil painting thing.http://image1ex.villagephotos.com/1480673.jpg

Very interesting. I like how the skull on his knee is looking at his attackers. They'd be like..."There is no way I'm lettin my skull become a piece of his armor!!" The color gives it a "hellish" look. The only things I question are whether the handle for his axe/spear would be strong enough to carry the big battle axe blades without snapping. (I could be wrong) His right hand seems a bit weak looking. Other than that.....Nicely done.:)

Keep it up........:chug:

I learned a very valuable leson in this piece and its that drawing issues have to be totally worked out before investing a lot of time n the painting process also some stylization that worked in the drawing (atleast for me) sometimes doesn't work in the final. Glad to hear your comments those issues are some things I was thinking about.

For sure. This should be one of the coolest gallery/dance/bar/performance event ever. I'll really excited about it. I will have a few new pieces, aswell. Hope you make it and take as many people to it.

Hey Diaz, I'm new here, and this is one of my first posts so... I like the piece allot, very nice. I agree that the right hand is a little odd looking, and I wonder if the contrast was pushed more if that would help the peice. I don't know, that's just my taste. Great job

I think it probably would. I wish I can work back on it, but I am trying to finish another one right now. Perhaps I'll give it another try later.

I agree with Bracey, Luis. And besides, lol painting is definatley NOT one of my strong points. LOL but seriously, good work. I like very much the kinetics of your piece. The way I "feel" the tension and movement by the placement of your figures and the composition. Very groovy :D Kick arse, and keep it up!

The trick I learned is never use white to red. (through disasterous apple still lifes, of course the shine is a different story)

I cheated with the orangy colors, but I never mixed white to my reds.
