Hey guys, working on this, any help/advice/critiques/comments are very welcome. :)

Started small(actually half this resolution), since I can't bring myself to be brave with color and light on a big canvas!

I scaled it up to 2000 wide. Started noodling on the left forground. I was fairly happy at this point, so I decided to keep going!

Noodling the right side + doing level adjustments. I'm happy with the forground so far, so I'll start on the BG.

Here I'm defining things in the background. I'm not really comfortable now though, so any thoughts on where to go from here would be great! It'll be used in a quick little flying-device fly by animation I'm doing. Thanks!

i don't have any crits...it looks really great so far. you've done a nice job with the rocky texture....something i've not been able to do! i think with some more work on the background it could be fantastic...i visualize it going very deep into the background which i think will help bring out the scale of the foreground....good luck with it, i can't wait to see some more

Idon't like that door, I meen from composition aspect. Then, both sides of canyon are same tone. And it is too dark. right side of background is very good, but left has same line flow as a plan in front. At the end, from composition aspect your scatch look better (but it is always happend to everyones). Of course materialisation are great.

I agree with Danilo, the left background seems to be out of sync with the rest of the image - it almost "sinks" into the ground in the distance.

Also, compositionwise, something seems missing now, but perhaps that's just the undefined background.

And then keep in mind that I'm a total newbie to all this stuff:rolleyes:
