Hey, this is a piece I just finished, maybe. It's about gun-related child deaths in the US today. It's acrylic on canvasboard, and the red box w/ the gun in it is a smaller canvasboard i stuck on w/ liquid nails. Its kinda Shawn Barber-esque, and I wasn't trying to make it so, but this is just how it came out. The toy gun also has too many highlights on it, but I didn't fix it in time. Anyway, any comments would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

hey clay--waht part of houston do you live in? Im from friendswood---and my mom lives i katy. Im out here at Parsons in manhattan studying illustration.

As for the peice--i like it. Im assuming the Number is amount of deaths per year. I feel like you have alot of good elements on your canvas, however in my opinion they arent all working Togehter. because the objects seem random and do not interact with eachother i think If you split your peice in half horizontally then youd have two peices that would be more successful Also the crown on the lower gun-- whats it for? its a good painting though. Keep posting--ty
