Hi,

Here is another attempt at me coloring my ballpoint sketch. I was trying to go for a semi-textured look. Although, I feel that sometimes it would just help if I paint over the whole thing with no lines showing.

Took me about 3and a half hours. Not good.

The only factor is the amount of time it takes. Anyways, as always, your feedback ..greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

I like 'em both a LOT. The girl is sweet, and the creature in the sketch is fantastic to me. Very imaginative.....that'll get my attention everytime. :)

What was the method (in painter or photoshop) you used to achieve those textures in the background...they look awesome.

Hi Mindcandy,

Thanks for your comment. Well the texture effect, thats from a list of textures that I have been compiling from various sources some of which are scanned, some photographed. It's a matter of mixing and matching an interesting looking pattern and complimenting it with the artwork. There's no real secret to it. A digital camera makes a handy tool for such purposes.
