Badger: I give myself a 30 minute window to finish the sketch. If I don't make it I start again regardless of how well it's going. This one came out first time though, so sometimes I get lucky :) Also, I don't use reference for any of them so I don't have to spend time jumping back and forth between pics worrying about getting it right.

If you're interested in my process, I do a 2 minute sketch on layer one, then I set it's opacity to 30% and do another 5 minute one over it. Once that's done I do a lighting map underneath the second sketch with a multiply layer and screen layer at 50% opacity, and then bang some color under and over those. Last thing I do is a highlight layer. That's it, quick, quick...

Having long sice frozen over and abandoned, all that remains of it's former glory, is a rusty and broken gate surrounded by barbed wire and a few boats stuck on the frozen river.
Mostly Painter 40 min.

The Apocolypse came. The 4 horsemen still ravage the planet. Millions reach the gates of hell every day, once alive hanging on to life amidst the pure chaos, now file into an eternity of pure pain. There souls, memoryless of there human existence will only know torture without why. One year will be seemless with 100 years, 100 years will be seemless with 100,000,000,000 years. Time has no substance, only the torment is conceivable.

Mindslyde: Lol shoulda given him bunny ears ;)

Hamsta: Brrrrrr! Spot on with the cold textures and colour. So nice. You pretty much nailed the frozen theme. I used to add stories to my drawings, like you do, but then I stopped. I decided to add one today.

Always good to hear critics, and you certainly deliver Hazzard, a little lopsided, but only noticable when you stare at it looking for crits  stairs go from sharp to fuzzy to sharp again.
Mindslyde - nice cartoony feel to it, like the rendering of the bones, but something about the head bothers me... And maybe more contrast in his groin area?

Who suggested so many enviro's at once, gotta look these up in the suggestion threads

blarg: That reminds me of that bit in never ending story when Atreu has to cross between those two guardians that shoot lasers out of there eyes.
I would like to see more saturation with your colours though thats my only crit.

Here's something I'm working on. First time I use photoshop (mouse)

I'll probably start it over again. There's a lot of things I don't like but I'll probably keep the same colors. The ground is too low. Whatever... I just wanted to show it before I delete it.

I saw these in the Museé d'Orsay, and they are HUGE and hugely awesome! What an artist! What an idea! What execution!

I was thinking of doing something along the lines of a nice Kinkade painting, you know, with zillions of flowers, lights in the windows, very homey, and focus on the door, with a sign reading: "Mom's Sugar Cookies" or something.
