I've finished this robot for a short film I'm doing, I want to know what do you think about it... specially about the 'hair', do you think it works? And I need to change the eyes to a more expressive model... ideas?

I don't really know if the robot needs the hair. If it's robo-like, let it be. First You start with the hair and next it will have a finger-nails.
Eyes? Hmm.. Now it has a dumb-like-eyes. Maybe try to model them like in a comic book? You know, kind like this: http://www.polykarbon.com/tutorials/expression/expression.htm

i don't mind the hair idea. but i would use something machine-like for the hair. something like the tube material you have used for the arms but smaller. or perhaps a different type of cable-like material....something industrial to keep the continuity of a robot. but of course whatever it was would still behave as hair.

Have you seen Disney's 'Treasure Planet'? The robot in there had a great eye design where each was a low-res LED grid into which they would illuminate the pixels needed to give the eyes expressions. It worked out great -- I found the idea quite inventive.

It's a funny little robot. Looks nice. Good work!

Thanks for your replies! I've been thinking on the hair stuff and I will leave it like now but maybe changing the color to a blueish one (like the entire robot). For the eyes I'm still trying things, I will see that Treasure Planet robot :)

Anyway, if you have any ideas to improve parts of the character, post your reply!!!
