Hi people,
Here's a series I'm proud of for many reasons, and it's my pleasure to show it off to you. I don't post on forums much these days because I'm pissed off, nonetheless I'm still loyal to Conceptart.
CA rulz,
please enjoy.

I'm not very knowledgeable when it comes to photography, how did you get thoes effects? My guess was a double exposure of some sort or treating the photo paper, or digital effects would be my last guess.
Did you just take the photographs of the lights being moved aorund on a long exposure seperate and then digitally combine them?
/edit oh yea they all look really good

oh these are SO beautiful! Her expression is beautiful, I like a perfect circle best I think... thats where the light beam is really neat. Awesome stuff.
My guess is that you were in a completely dark room, used like a red small torch. Used long exposure with the camera, drew the red lines and what not, turned the torch away, flashed once to show the model... or you combined two photos. But it would be possible to do it in the above way.

my guess was originally that it was a torch kinda thing, but then in some, there are far too many lines and they are far to accurate for this. my guess now is photoshop because of;
a) the drips/ dots
b) the torch colour changes (easy to do with a torch, but not very likely)
c) the most obvious, in one her hair is made of flames :P. try doing THAT with a torch hehehe.
it still could be done with a torch (apart from the flames) but then combined or something. anyway, its bloody awesome.
i love this stuff tho. i really really like it.
please do more if possible,
andre

I don't really meant a torch... lol, stupid language barrier.
What I meant was a flashlight, a red flashlight. But it still would be hell to make all the dots and what not.

awesome.
I like the first one best. probably because of the tongue going somehow in line with the fireworks. Feels as if she was controlling the fw with her tongue.

Thx guyz,
I almost forgot about this post.
I'm surprised to see how concerned you all seem to be by the technical side of these images. I noticed this already when posting on forums dedicated to photography. Generally speaking, photographers seem to be more interested by technique, when illustrators are more attached to the artistic quality.
Ok, on with the technique: I did two sessions, one with the model in front of a black screen, I used the flash and very short exposures in aorder to catch some sense of movement, especially in the hair of the model. The second shooting session was in complete dark with a candle waven slowly in front of the lens. Very long exposure of course. Then I did the mix in PS.
Tentacle: (sorry for the french speaking) merde, t'es arrivé à me dégoter là ! Et pour toi la suite comme tu dis ça donne quoi ? t'as des trucs à poster en ce moment ?

WOW, as a budding photographer I am in awe of your creative and technical achievements. You have got all the elements together to form a great set of photos. They have a very sci-fi 'barberella' theme, which I really like. Where these a commision or personal work?

Nice shots. One thing you could change is the tape. In some shots it gets really reflective and the highlights can get distracting. Other than that, very cool.

These are very cool. The second one is my favourite, it's full of energy but it doesn't look too staged. Photos like "I love CA" are too perfect to be taken like that, but you were probably not aiming at making them look like it. I think "The Call" is a bit empty on the bottom half.
And you may want to retouch "a Perfect Circle". I never thought I would say this, but my monitor seems to be brighter than that of those who posted here. I can see a rectangle around the model and a darker area next to her head on the right. That's the bitch in manipulating so dark photos, I started to always up the brightness in PS to see if such lines are still visible. I think the layer the model is on is a bit brighter than the black you used to make the picture larger. Maybe you can correct that with a soft brush.
Still, impressive work!
