ok here is the concept for my LOTR challenge.
I always have trouble doing anything close to tightening my art, so I finally decided I'd do something thats close to finished. Anyways, I would probably work on it more if I was doing the 2d challenge, but its for the 3d so I gotta get to work :)

Denizen Behemoth
Racial History: The Denizens of Middle Earth, fungal creatures that feast on the remains of the dead. While the denizens can move quickly and powerfully when needed, they do not have the energy needed to do this and continue their own survival, so a caste system has developed. Huge fungal colonies grow deep in the forests, and upon mass graves. Luckily for many of the inhabitants of middle earth these creatures are very docile, using their large size mainly as a way of collecting sunlight; however when angered, the behemoths are a powerful force, and even if killed, will release thousands of toxic spores, which if they land on a living creatue, they will devour and eventually produce another fungal colony.
