Nice, I like the flesh and his posture...but the shield looks weird...you should tweak it. The perspective is not right i guess...

You could add some shinyness to the blood...

looks nice, the shield's a bit small.

hm, when i think of a berzerkers i think of huge musculous gothic-styled guys. just my two cents :)

good job overall.

The shield seems off because the forearm is too long. I donīt know if you made it digitally but one suggestion for a paintover would be to change the shield-style into a buckler with a center-grip, tweak the proportions of the shield and donīt show the right hand. The color of the bullets (neon-green) seems strange to me but after all - I donīt know much about modern weaponry ;).

Furthermore the right leg seems too short or the forshortening of a forward bended knee doesnīt work.

Hope this could help you a little bit.

BTW your drawing looks as if my brother has done it in earlier times (and had used colors ;))

heh thanks for the great crits fellas! :) well appreciated and i will take them all into consideration....as for the bullets being neon green...
...this was a risk i was gonna take when i started coloring this... hehe im colorblind and well i didnt want to take an easy out and blame my colorblindness for the lack of coloring in any of my pics. so thats why when you see my colored art...something might be purple that is supposed to be blue..or neon green that is supposed to be yellow. im trying to work around it, but alas it is still a huge problem!

anyways thats for the crits!

Unless you're ThePostman, aka Ted Anderson, then this is not your concept. At least, thats what I gather from Postman posting this on the Polycount forums a few weeks ago. If you did this for him, then I apologize...I don't remember him crediting anybody else for the drawings. And if you are Posty, (which I don't think you are) then sorry again...

...but if neither of those situations are true, I'd like to call attention to the fact that this is a ripoff from Ted Anderson's (works for Gearbox software) concept for a new Battlefield 1942 mod, based on a post-apoc Mad Max type setting. Posty used to lead Wasteland Halflife, then renamed to The Wastes, and apparently now this.

Anyway, hope I'm wrong...

*edit* I am wrong! Apparently Posty forgot to credit you, but then edited it into his post. I guess I never saw the edited post.

Anyway, forgive me for my hastiness. ;D

Nice concept, can't really crit much.

nice,... i hadnt seen a colored version of this piece. the only crit i could give is to get new eyes, cause your colorblind ones suck LOL. looks cool. are you planing on adding a background to it. i think that if you did then it would really make this a nice portfolio piece.

Yes i know ted anderson and yes he credited me in the post he made...although he misspelled my last name.

this is what he wrote

"Both pieces of artwork are by a fellow named Mark "Absinthe" Seydwitz. ( secondwitz@hotmail.com )"

i am mark seydewitz (absinthe)

heh its great that you recognized the piece tho...and no i am not low enough to steal others art!

doh and i was to hasty to finish reading your post mark :D haha oh well!

thanks for the reply tho...oh hey mark you want a good laugh? i submitted some fan art to the opera a long time ago...and you want to see how much i improved...just check this out.

Hey my brother is red/green-blind, too - so he stays with pencil and crowquill ;). If youīre a biker and work as a firefighter he might have a spritual twin :).

Mark Li you ponce, I gave him full credit in the first posting of those pictures with a link to his email address. The edits you saw were me putting in a finished version of the engineer. So shush, Absinthe is doing an incredible job on our mod. Ciao. ;)
