Any body ever had this problem? I will be painting, and all is good, then after a while, I will release the wacom from the tablet, and when I get close, it starts painting again...without touching the tablet! It will stop after a while and get normal again...but it sucks badly. I have installed new drivers and all that to no avail. Any suggestions?

I've never had that happen but my wacom was slowing down. After about an hour I would paint with a delayed reaction time, which was really fucking annoying. After a reset it worked for the next hour but that sucked too. A few days ago I ran an anit-virus program and the problem was fixed

Might help.

Sounds like your pen is messed up. Usually e-mailing Wacom about this problem is the best idea. Try twisting the eraser so it clicks a couple times, I had this exact problem a while back and that fixed it. But yeah, e-mailing tech support will yield better results.

I think that's b/c it senses the mouse/pen about 10 mm above it's surface. It was made to do that for some reason.

I have encountered similar problem a few times and suspect that it is due to a bug in the wacom driver. When it happened, I have to undo the strokes, save the drawing and reload. Quite often, this solves the problem. Since it is randomly occuring, it is not likely to be virus related.
