Tale of Tales is a small game development studio located in Gent, Belgium and we are looking for two exceptional and experienced concept artists living in Europe for the video game "8"
http://tale-of-tales.com/8

Character Designer:
You will be designing and drawing many of the characters that populate the world of “8”. The style of “8” is painterly but realistic. While we are making a fairy tale world, we are not so interested in sci-fi or traditional fantasy themes. In-depth knowledge of fashion history/folk costume would be an interesting plus. Drawing must be second nature to you. You are fluent with realistic human anatomy, quick and focussed. A few years of game industry experience are mandatory.

Environment/Mood Artist:
You will be taking renders of untextured 3d geometry and creating atmospheric paintings incorporating light and shadow, pattern and architectural detail. Your paintings will communicate to modelers, texture and lighting artists the type of enviroment they must create. Strong digital painting skills are absolutely necessary. A sense of drama and attention to detail are also important. Knowledge of and appreciation for Orientalist and Baroque painting, Middle Eastern architecture and ornament will be extremely helpful.

You must have excellent computer skills and be comfortable with internet communication. If you think you would be right for either of these postitions please email links to your online portfolio!
