This started out as a one hour speed painting then I decided to finish it for www.hull-breach.com ( check it out ). Project Hull Breach is a up and coming Half Life 2 full conversion Mod. Many creative and talented people are working on it. I don't see how it's not going to rock.

I ended up spending nearly 11 hours of work on this artwork. I did not do things the way I normaly do because I was trying to just use painter IX for everything. Normaly I would make custom brushes for different brush strokes, but for this artwork I just used painters built in brushes. Sure theres some lighting problems but I don't care enough to spend more time to fix them.

Thanks for viewing.

very nice, though the middle ground looks very blurry, like you were trying for
fog or smog or something, maybe put somemore contrast or detail inthere, specially since the light is so intense from the left like sundown it would seem it would still penetrate that smog. but again very nice peice.

Nice!

Is the moon's edge a bit sharp...?

I didn't notice the moon until you pointed it out, it's not a big deal though. The buildings are very creative and the lighting is perfect.

i love sense of depth and the fluid motion to the static setting.

Thanks everyone for commenting

defcombeta : I can't remember exactly but it was around 2500 x 4500 . Something like that. It's usually best to work larger then size it down later.

Great work. Very atmospheric. I agree with comments about a little more darks and/or details in key areas.
