Digital eyesight

One thing I've had real problems with, portraying eyes in a digital medium.
(In this case, psp 7....I'm far too much of a cheapskate for Painter :rolleyes: )
Try as I might they end up always flat, lifeless, in a word, dead.
Anyboady have any tips on this subject?

Could you post a painting/drawing of yours here? Might be easier to nail the problem if we could see your work. :)
