o nice one erik. It looks real cool, but there are a couple of problems with it. Like it took me ages to work out thats water. You need some refections on the surface. I thought it just faded off and was really confused for a moment. There is no lighting at all, but that might be intentional. Cool shadows however can make a simple thing look far more interesting. Its good i think to keep certain elements, like the elevator uncoloured, to make them pop out as important game elements. nice one.

Hey Erik ! Good stuff.
I love the architecture, the structure of this environment and the point of view you have choosen for understanding it and giving a good basis for the modelers. The lift remind me some Akira's one.
In my opinion, you should improve the color work, by playing with saturation (some more cold or warm parts) , light (darken the parts of the image that are less important, the foreground for example, in order to enhance where something is happening) and especially the color nuances. Add textures, with some wall or scratch 2D textures for example. Stretch them and apply them on the walls. If you use some colors textures, it will create some little colors accidents.
You could drive more the eye of the viewer on the most important parts of your picture.
You should use also more graphic elements like the big numbers but it's just a personal taste.
Your sea's environments are more moody. You could add this to this piece. Maybe you can also use some smoke, still for the same reasons...
my 2 cents.
Good stuff anyway, I've just made suggestions

Red Rook: hmm i can see what you mean. I had the surface as water with reflections and waves on it, but it got so busy it got away from the goal of this piece to provide a good view of the environment to model. That's why there is no definite lighting either. Thanks for the other insights i will keep them in mind!
Aleksi: thanks for your comment Aleksi, how have you been? I saw your last images: amazing! You're right, it would be better if mood and design were more integrated, and to have more mood and dynamic elements in the image. I tried to keep the color as basic as possible just to define different base materials, but i see what you mean in applying some texture to make it more interesting. Good tip about the textures, i do that when i texture a model but never thought to do it here ;-)
I am working on another one - hope to finish soon ;-)
