Though it was on friday, and some of you may have heard about it, Richard Avedon, perhaps the most well known and influential photographer of the twentieth century, died on friday, at 81. He was an influential artist no matter how you look at it. Though he was a photographer, as opposed to a concept artist, he made a mark on pop culture, albeit several decades ago, which is why I figured I'd make a post. More of the story here (http://news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&u=/afp/20041002/ts_afp/us_avedon_media_041002120444)

And ok, I'll concede that Rodney Dangerfield had nothing to do with concept art, but he will be missed nonetheless. Here's more of the story (http://news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&u=/ap/20041006/ap_en_ce/obit_dangerfield_3).

Avedon's prints are pretty amazing to see in person, the good thing about being an artist is the wealth of stuff that is left behind.

And Rodney Dangerfield, that's sad :nohope:
