Here's a painting that I probably spent too much time on. It's a rework of an older PS painting that was more of a colored drawing. I did some heavy over painting on this one, the goal was to try some new stuff out on an Image that was bad to begin with, soz I wasn't worried about screwing up further.
Lay it on me, I need the crits (but I think I'm done with this guy).

Cool ideas for the finger tips!! over all painting looks great to me,
as for crits....hmm maybe go all out with the reflection in the helmet? its not often you get a chance to do a realy cool reflection and you are set up nicely for one..even if its just his working hand reflecting back.
keep it up :)

Overall, it's a very strong piece, but I agree that it needs some mood, a few highlights and reflections would really help it to pop. Post more! - mh

nice work dude. i really like this one. great composition, it really works well getting the eye around the whole thing. alot of nice resting points for the eye. your loose rendering style really works great with the composition in that sense. the rendering in teh middle of the chest is my favorite part, with all the test tubes and pockets.
some crits: the perspective is off in the background near the steps. the color of the light is basically white with a little warmth. i would try to push temperature shifts a bit more next time. adding a little color to the light helps out alot. thats pretty much it. great work, i like how your finishing work. i need to start doing that.

The first thing that popped into my head, was Santa Clause in a space suit, making space age toys! Real nice!

Wow pretty cool shit, the more i look at his face, the more i see him saying "slowly, slowly, slowly, and releaaassssee slowly."

I can see the strong light where it hits his face shield, I think that you need to add at least on strong corresponding hot spot on his face under the mask, because it doesn't go togather without it.

This piece is very nice, ur skill is shown... but i just wanted to say that this piece isn't very futuristic, i'm given an atari feel from the joystick, but thats my only crit, the piece is great.

Noose, Evil, Davi, yelahttam, monkeygrrl, kmm_loser : Thanks for the crits and comments guys! I'm still trying to get the hang of this so every bit helps. I'm going to let it marinate for a bit but I'll apply some of the suggestions for the finish
-cheers:)

Defcombeta: haha yea, he is a bit stout, thanks man.
FlexMathews: Thanks for the tips bud, my knowledge of color blows so when I get frantic and try to finish something I fall back on bad habits, like brightness change to the color. The stairs in the back are a problem. They look off perspective as is but when I laid out the lines based on the keyboard thats how it lined up, I'm thinking I should just ditch em' alltogether (?), thanks for pointing it out.
nikia: hahaha I should title it so, and put a toy in the claw.:)
Sok N. Wett: Sttayyy on Taarrrgeetttt....haha thanks dude
