Hi there. I've been looking through these forums for quite a while and decided to register today so i could share some of my drawings. Here's a sketch of Frodo Baggins off the LOTR movie...

I used a mech. pencil and a 6B Derwent pencil. What do you guys think of it so far? Any crits? Sorry about the quality. It caught some reflection as i scanned it in.
Thanks peeps.

well it looks E-X-A-C-T-L-Y like him, so well rendered, Im questioning myself weather I could create such likeness myself, well, it's a challenge !!! :perv:

welcome to ca :)
the likeness is fine , but you messed up the values. especially below the lips and the eyelids... if you look at the ref again these areas are much darker than you drew them. since youre going with three values, only the bright areas on the chin would be visible below the uberlip, everything else would be darkest value.
same goes for the eyelids... youve done them lightest value but they are mid. value.
nonetheless good start and keep your works coming for s to see :)
