I'd like to know what everybody thinks of my artwork, or where I could improve. Been lurking for a long time and I think that everyone has beneficial things to say.

Here's a recent work of mine which was said to remind people of that book.
I've never even heard of it.. so I have no idea.

I've never heard of the book either, but good job to both of ya's. I see the first one in a children's book of some sort.

TJ> I wish to see that one finished. The comp and mood, so far, looks very appealing.:)

The little prince was a TV show, I guess it was on nickelodeon. It was about a little boy who lived on a planet the size of a boulder, with a little half woman/half rose.

It's a book by Saint-Exupry, a french pilot. And it's fucking excellent. half way between a kids tale and a profound philosophical work. my appreciation of all these pics is bettered for having read it. check it out.

Saint-Exupéry, french WWI pilot but more importantly a writter. His book "Le Petit Prince" is a small novel EVERY SINGLE francophone kid has been reading. It's cute, in apparence naïve but enlightening and makes you reflect on human nature.

The Little Prince (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/0156012197/qid=1043436485/sr=8-1/ref=sr_8_1/002-8923495-4639206?v=glance&s=books&n=507846) - Illustrated by Saint-Exupéry translated by Richard Howard.
The english translation lost a lot of it's magic compared to the original I found :(
