Tree of Life

i did this mostly for myselft, but it fit in for an assignment at my college. it is a pen and ink drawing of a tree. i am unsure of what to do with the background, but i figured it was in a done enough state to show here, if not i apologize. any ideas for the background would be appreciated, if i do the same sort of style as the tree is in i'm fearful that it will be lost in the detail and such.

nice stuff, one thing bother me, the pipes etc ,there are a bit flat, there is no perspective on them, i would love to see them come out a bit and then move them to the side etc. also all that detail your hand ok after all that.

the feeling i get is very love craftian, an almost perverse tree of life or one corupted by human nature.
