Anyone have a good quality scanner that they have experience using that they would recommend. I can't spend more than like 250 - 300 bucks at the most so what's a good one in that range? Thanks

I got a paperport onetouch 5300 flatbed scanner. my father got it for free with his comp and had no idea what it was so i took it. i have had it for like a year or more and it actually is a great piece for the price. It does amazing high resolution scans. Can't complain bout it. So I am sure for the budget you have you will be able to get a good one.
good luck

I got the Epson 1250, too. It's ok, no problems with the scanner yet (got it for 10 months now), think the latest model is the 1260. I only got poblems with the driver once in a while - but this seems to be due to running Win98 (yeah, I know, it sucks) and obviously have installed too many applications, since no-one else seems to have my problems. Anyway, the scanner is robust and works nicely!

I think the question of the scanner is for most of the uses here not very important. If you´re fit with PS there shouldn´t be much of a problem to tweak everything right. At least that´s what I learned in my Scanner-Trainings ;).
It´s better saving more money for a better monitor (there´s always one :))
