it's not really "finished" but i don't have the will to take it forward, so i'll just post it as it is.
i was trying to go more "cartoon-looking" than usual.
the lighting is fucked up and there are some issues with the whole compo and posing, but it was a painful process to go against what i usually do (i think that efforts don't really show up, though), so i didn't feel like fighting with this pic anymore.
anyway, crits and comments are welcome.

Looking good. I like how you use black and some contrasting color. I like your stuff in general.
Things I would put priority on:
- The tatoo on the girl needs detail, perhaps some color.
- The axe needs sharpness/definition/detail.
Perhaps the crazy lighting on the guy's mask draws too much attraction form the girl.
- Perhaps the axe guy should be removed completely? This way the girl and guy could afford some more highlighting and definition? That spoil the instable/tense triangle composition though.
And yeah, I know I'm addicted to highlighting, especially when the values built up from black quite fast, stays in midtone and suddenly culminates in a highlight right before the next shape starts.

thanks for the feedback fellas :)
Prometheus, i definetly agree with you.
you are talking about the things that really bothered me while i was doing this pic. i really got fed up with it coz it's felt 'unnatural' for me. so i felt like i was struggling with small details, wasting time tweaking invisible stuffs and at the end, i just went the easy way with the lighting and such.
that's the story of this pic :when it doesn't come right away and you get stuck with insignifiant details, obliterating all the basics.
that crazy highlight suxxx big time...but it felt sooooo good doing it, haha :D
anyway, thanks a lot, i'll fix these points asap.

I like that monotone rendering. Looks like the line art guys are twisting their torsos and arms a bit wildly tho, making the pose harder to read. The legs are great.
