This is my first drawing I post on ConceptArt. It was meant as a drawing for a poster for a small festival in my neighbourhood. It's the Holy St. Rita filled with the need to rock :perv:. Please comment. Critique is welcome!

welcome to CA. pretty funny image that people hopefully won't take offense at. the drawing and colors look a little dirty, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. I'm a bit confused by the Saint's left hand and the three lines under the elbow (not sure what's going on). also, something about how the sides and top of the cross approach the edges of the page bother me a bit. I'm sorry that I don't have any suggestions as to how you can change the composition; all I can say is that it doesn't feel quite right to me (but that could just be me). again, funny imagery. hope this helps.

their is actually a crit and WIP section you should post this in, they can better help you out their, other than that, keep working on your drawing skill

The 3 marks beneath the elbow represent pieces of wood from the cross as he brakes his hand loose. It's not that clear I can see that now.
The colouring is somewhat dirty I know, but I thought It would give it a bit of a 'realistic' touch, because normally It always turns out to be a bit cartoonish... (I draw alot of cartoon-like figures) but I'm actually now concentrating and practising my colourtechniques, so I hope that helps
