Heres a character I've beenplaying with for god knows how long....just some random sketches...noting too special C&C welcome

It doesn't look like a monkey, more like a little guy with a wig. The nose and ears are too human-like...also the headpart looks like a headdress...but i like the sketches and cartoon stuff anyway!

Yes I see what you mean I'm afraid I may hve gotten to the too cute side of the character.

Well sticking shoes on his rear paws might be one of the thing that takes away the hints that it's a monkey. You might want to check references and what features exactly make a monkey.. a monkey ! :) Depending of course on which specimen you want to start from. For example the cranium size in relationship with the jaw size, etc. A character can still be cute even with brute-like head proportions.
I'm not a big fan of white gloves either, but that's your call ;)

ok I get ya. the more I look at the more I see what you and Fozzie are saying. He er um it has lost the monkey feeling (feel a song coming on). Thankx for the helpful advice.
