Another attempt at Photoshop - Halo

Sup everyone

My trial version of PS just expired, but I managed to get this pen drawing colored. Below are 3 images. First is the original pen work, then its the colored characters. The last one is with a background I made by using two pics I found on the net. Comments and suggestions are appreciated.

Hi, Mad_Lobster!

The figures aren't standing on the same level, as people do, when they are handshaking. Look at the feet and the prespective of both...they are quite different!

Other than that the background image doesn't improve the overall quality...it's more disturbing...try another background...

Wow! thats one of the most unrealistic pictures I have seen in a while! Major Chief would NEVER give hands to a Covenant Elite. He would bring out his assault rifle and smack the Elite in the face and maybe even attach a plasma granade to the bastard while he was at it! ;)

Other than that, I think Fozzy already pointed out things to think about. I do like the drawing. Keep at it! :)

Hey, thanks for the replies!

Fozzybar- I see what you are saying. Now that you mentioned it, it doesn't appear like they are looking right at eachother anymore. How could I fix this problem? Making the Elite's (the alien on the left) legs longer so they are even with Master Chief's?

Boom- Thanks, I was trying to draw something that would get Halo fans something to go "Whoa! That ain't right!" about. By the way, and I mean no offence or flame by this, but is Master Chief called Major Chief in Denmark?


And does anyone know how I can install my trial version again without it detecting that the timer has expired?

Aw, that's cute.
Anatomy-wise, the legs are off, and the shoulders aren't broad enough. There's a great Master Chief model sheet somewhere in the Halo manual. Should be a handy reference.
As for the implications of it, I agree!
Am I the only person who thinks Halo would have been better if Humans and the Covenant decided to unite against the Flood?
Sure, that may seem unrealistic and stupid at first, but why wouldn't two opposing sides of a one-sided war, stranded on an ancient, mysterious ring-world, simultaneously confronted by exponentially increasing masses of an intelligent, unstoppable, parasitic organism seeking galaxy-wide death and destruction see the obvious advantages of strength in numbers? It can't be pride, I mean, look at the Grunts! It can't be stupidity, those Elites are smart as hell!
