same character, modified design

Hmm.. well I modified the design somewhat.. haven't really had any good ideas for this one...but I sort of liked this one.. I'll probably do another version.. i'm still tring to figure out a good system/process for doing these.

Some things I'm thinking about.. maybe have a warmer background? Maybe some problems with that left leg. I sort of like the pose.. but not too sure.. what to put in the background to help the overall picture. Probably should more thought into that.. before doing a drawing.. so that I'm not just drawing a character.. but a scene with a environment that the character is interacting with... Hmm maybe the skin is too yellowish, I might like it to be more orange or red? hmm..

Hurm... i actually really like the color scheme. And your line quality. That left leg doesn't bother me at all, but I wish I could see what the piece looked like "pre coloring". You seem to have put a lot of detail in by the color, which isnt bad, but your linework is just neat to look at.

Anyway, work a little on that smoke, it feels out of place. And maybe put some more variations of tone in the jumpsuit. Othwerise, nice image!

it is a fairly loose drawing I think. The scan has been modified a bit, because I put a multiply layer on top of it, just to darken the lines somewhat. As you can, see I modified her left leg from the original drawing, in the paint afterwards. But then after I painted it, I put the lines back on a higher layer. I guess it became more of a drawing than painting in the end.

looks alright. left leg looks a bit off to me. maybe putting it on a rock or something could change things. it looks a bit too curved i guess and the location of the knee seems off.
