Hey there!
okay... I have to make a logo for a next generation console

here are the specs:
- the name is HI-Q (i know ´tis stupid)
-it is a concole made of several modules which you can connect to each other and so on...

well here is the idea i came up with... i wanted to integrate the module and next-gen thingy therefore i made it up of
three parts wich look kind of gel-like. And I wanted to have the H and Q in it also...

Well please tell me what you think (have to rebuild it in illustrator) wich one do you like better...
(colors, shape etc...)

okay...
i really appreciate those comments and i think i finally made it.
I took the second logo-type and chose another color. I chose RED because i think it has that "firey" thing to it, that i want to communicate.
I also chose to give the logo some kind of black outline to set up the contrast, so it "jumps" into your eye.
The next step i have to take is the "typo". I have to choose what kind of typography i want for the name.
I´ll keep you guys updated...

I think both of these have their strenghts and weaknesses. Like the second one I think is more believable, in that it pops out more and looks like it has a coat of glossy finish over it. But I dont like how desaturated and diluted it is. Maybe you might wanna try giving it that level of saturation from the first one. The first one, imo, looks a little bit fake, maybe the big highlight on the shapes is too bright? I dunno. Also, I really like the little cut-out on the second one, it makes the shape a bit more interesting.

So, I guess what I'm trying to say is: go with the second one, and give it the same level of saturation as the first one.

Hope that helps at all :D

thx Arwar for your response...
I thought about that too.

the second one needs more saturation, and i thinks it fits better into that HI-Q logo thingy.

I thing i´ma get to work now.
But more crits is appreciated

I also like the desing of the second one, but needs more saturation. Also, I suggest to put the LED light of the power for the system in that little square shaped thing. Maybe the combination of the H and Q and the blue( or whatever colored light) shining through the h and q logo. I would stick away from the green, cuz I automatically thought of the X BOX. Try a different color! try many colors, and please post the results!!!

your welcome. but I am no professor. It just says that in the thing under my avatar. I am mearly but a student....

Anyways, I like the latest version of it. I especially like the added blue lines to the sides.IMO I think that it has lost that glossy feel that I like from the first one. I really really liked that glossy touch!!!:D

Anyways I think its looking good. keep us updated!
