i really like this... it reminds me of miyazaki hayao's work. Which is, of course, a good thing!

i am amazed by how well you give a sense of the size of that thing.
your hand for color is amazing, roo. that is a level of skill i currently just can dream of.
maybe a tin<y bit more detail and attention to the surroundings would make it perfect, in my opinion. just a hint more of what kind of environment this thing stands in.
but that indeed is a nitpicky crit.

Very imaginative of you. I love it.....seriously.:)
I can imagine it walking, snapping trees, and crushing stone as it moves. I bet it leaves awefully big craters where it's been.

wow!great one.beautiful colors.what bothers me tho,are the clouds, hope that are clouds, either that or real fast flying by marshmellows;) what i´m tryin to say is that they look a littlebit too massive,a least the one right above the city.i also
think that maybe the ground shouldn´t be that blurrish.hm?just my 2c.

geez, thats really creative, beautiful work... i dont want to be the 'odd man out', but i do have one comment. the painted version, to my eyes it loses the look of being a city. i feel like i'm commiting heresy saying a comment on your art.... amazing art, your a great inspiration to me!!!

fantastic! Great concept and execution. You are awesome. You use just straight up oil pastel for this or any other tools?

That's fantastic. I imagine lots of these cities all moving ponderously across a wasteland on a planet close to its sun. The cities move as the day progresses in order to avoid direct sun light.
=) or not.
Again, cool idea.
