ok, so here i am, cruising around CA and then i thought, hey! theres no panorama thread! so here we go :bashful:
post all your pans, but post them as links, cos they can be pretty massive. also, try to keep them a reasonable size, for example, altho these are really wide, i limited them vertically to 480 pixels
anyway, everyone feel free to post. c&c welcome
ok, one at my shack last summer;

aaaand one on the block of land next door;

ooh, and i just found this one, deep creek in about march;
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v87/andres_pad/deepcreek2.jpg
keep it real kidies, and i'd love to see some of your pans too ;)

I have one too :D
My first "panorama" Well, it works the other way round, than normal panoramas.. could you still call it panorama? Well, I don't care, I'll call it that way ;)
These shots (3 alltogether) were taken in Italy 2 weeks ago.
I'm practising on others, but it takes time :)
Hope you like it.

A friend of mine, called Jorge Proaņo made this image. He only sent me this small version. As you can see, he likes mountains alot. These are some mountains that are in my homecountry, in the Ecuadorian Andes.

This was took with a disposable camera then cropped, so I'm not totally sure it counts. I'm not really sure what mountains those are but I think they are Utah's Blue Mountains. :bashful:

Hey guys,
There's some great images up there!
I've got some panorama pics but I don't have any space to put them up to so I can display them to you here. Any ideas? I tried flickr (which I use), but they reduce the image size - so it doesn't really work. This is the same for my photoblog. Photos are reduced to a max width of 462 - which isn't really appropriate for showing the full effect of a panorama.
Any ideas?
Cheers
Ian

maybe you should open an account in photobucket.com ? I hosted mine there. And also you should know how to use your graphics programs compression system, to get the best photo size for less kb weight. Do you use Photoshop? If yes, then I suggest you to use the "Save for Web" option a lot. It is really a life saver.
greetings!

photobucket ( http://img29.photobucket.com/albums/v87/andres_pad/ ) doesnt have a physical image restriction, it just limits images that are limited to a maximum of 250KB. like GriNGoLoCo said, use photoshop if u can

Hey all,
here is a link to some cool tools for combining photos to make a panorama.
http://www.tawbaware.com/ptasmblr.htm
this guy makes some really huge images. this program allows you to correct for the parallax error when trying to put these pics together. i am working on a huge pan right now i will post when i am done.
hope this is of some use
Joe
Ok,
Here is the pan i promised. its not as big as i had planed because my computer couldnt handle the file size. It was over 20 megs. I was trying to create a equivilent to a 60 megapixle image but was only able to pull of about a 40. I didnt crop the pan down so you could see the way the individual shots had to be warped to get a proper assembly. this was my first try using this program and i was very happy with the results. try and find the seams!

Here's a related topic -- It's a tutorial I put together on "stitching" images into animated panoramic backgrounds -- without any actual stitching involved
http://www.digitalartform.com/archives/2004/11/nodal_point_pan_2.html
It's good for 3D artists.
