Hi all...

The Gnomon Workshop is pleased to announce two new Analog DVDs that will be available September 15th! Produced in conjunction with Design Studio Press, the new titles focus on digital matte painting techniques. We also want to welcome Yanick Dusseault, a new instructor and one of the industry's foremost digital matte painters. Dusseault, a.k.a. DUSSO, has worked on such projects as What Dreams May Come, The Lord of the Rings Trilogy and is currently working as a senior matte painter for Industrial Light and Magic on the upcoming episode of the Star Wars saga.

Info is up on the GW site:

considering that art education runs in the 20k a year range plus expenses I would say that the gnomon dvd's are a bargain.

there is a ton of useful information in the dvd set. I know. I have all of them. ..well not the dussos...I will pick those up too.

alex has been a big supporter of conceptart.org behind the scenes. what he is doing with the dvd's is noble and affordable. I hope you all will support what they are doing.

They usually run about 2 hours. If you are a student you can get a discount.

yeah what manley said, support the workshop, these dvd's are well worth the money and you are learning from the best, if you apply what you learn from the dvd's and practice, you will get better faster, because no where else do you have access to such info other than maybe going to art center or something but that will set you back a good 100k.
