Does anyone have any experience or advice in producing custom t-shirts quickly and simply?

I've got a couple of days to get some (2-3) shirts ready, and I was wondering what paints, inks, and procedures work well?

The design is pretty simple, just one color, and I'm thinking I can do it with a stencil. Would spray paint through a stencil work well enough? Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

It’s quick and dirty, but those cheap acrylic paints they sell at wal-mart and everywhere else also produce a textile medium. Buy a bottle of it and a couple bottles of the paint and mix 2 parts medium to 1 part paint and it makes a pretty decent fabric paint. I've done a whole bunch of shirts this way. I'm just using hand cut stencils. Spray the back with a little spray adhesive and let that dry. It helps hold the stencil in place.
