Hi everyone,
Here are two images that I did using PhotoShop and Painter 6. I practically ripped the background from Neville Page's dvd, very helpful btw. All crits and comments welcome. Thanks.

I like the images - they have a definite sense of style and presence.
A couple of points that break the spell. With the dog, its the clearcutting on its back - too sharp, makes it look cutout, perhaps a little antialiasing?
The ears on the elf feel too flat, could do with a little more contrast and detail, similar to how you've rendered the knee joints on the dogs leg.

Hey thanks AJ. I've shown it to a dozen people already and no one including myself picked up on that. Here's a quick revision. I'm not sure if the shadow is acturate but it gives it more depth.

very nice style. i like it. i kind of reminds me of dali or something of the like...in that subjects' anatomies are disfigured or extended, but still have a very realistic painting effect and believable in space.
