Not sure how much to charge for an 18x24 pencil drawing of my friends girlfriend. I don't want to screw myself but I also don't want to screw him. (lol! that last sentence sounds bad. :bashful: )

in highschool it was nice because alot of rich parents were passing by my drawings in the hall way and I asked for 100 dollors for each piece and I was barly learning to draw back then. To be honest, if you can market it right, who cares what the price is

Hehe, I eventually just asked him for 500 and he was ok with it. I should have asked for a little more, my wife said I should have charged 600.
I have been doing this stuff for family members for either free or for cheap this was the first time someone (not family) asked for a portrait. I was only asking because I know some people charge by the head, some charge by the hour and some may charge for the size of the portrait/composition. I also didn't know if their was a standard pricing, I didn't want to under sale myself. :pirate:
