I wont be in attendance as I can't afford it this time around. It's odd that I attended both SF workshops and now that the workshop is coming within a 15 minute drive of my front door I can't go. I'll be getting the sketch group down here together so if anyone wants to meet up or needs a place to stay I'd be willing to help out.

Hey everyone. I'm going to be visiting Vancouver for at least 6 months, with the possibility of being able to stay longer.

I see you guys hold drawing sessions, that's good! I'm not sure how they relate to where I'll be living, still figuring out the city, but I'd like to check it out.

Since I'm coming on a visitor's visa, and not a student, I'm wondering...are there any art workshops that I could still sign up for just as a visitor? Figure drawing, fundamentals, etc.

What up Vancouverites....

Hey folks, I'm planning on relocating to Vancouver from Seattle at some point in the near future, and was looking for a little advice or info. I do 3D for games, btw.

How's the 3D/CG market doing up there these days? I'm aware of the art/CG schools up there. What sort of opportunities are there for continuing education/part time night art/(concept/character) design classes/workshops etc. Like taking some life drawing classes, sculpture, entertainment design etc. Life drawing sessions? Any advice on living locations? In proximity to the core of studios/schools/ease of use of public transit/biking? How about neighborhoods? I'm kinda partial to the funky, bohemian vibe. I heard commercial street is like that? So yeah, any advice on living and working as a games artist (or maybe film/TV., who knows) would be cool. Thanks for any replies and perhaps I'll be seeing you later.....

Thinking of starting the Surrey/Delta Sketchgroup back up again.

I have been so bored lately, and looking for work is not going well. I need a mental break.

I also moved to Surrey recently. Pretty close to Scott Road actually. 64A Ave.

I would like to travel to the Vancouver Sketchgroup, but Mom's health is not as good as it used to be.

I would like to start up the sketch group next week, after the long weekend.

I am thinking of meeting people at the Tim Hortons at: 12169 72 Ave Surrey, BC
It is in front of the Cineplex Odeon/Chapters in Strawberry Hill.

I had planned on holding a meet on Saturday, Oct 17, but we have family coming over for Diwali! The house smells good. Cooking up a storm with Mom's help.

I am moving the meet to Sunday, I know it will be the suck, but I need to escape from the house for a day.
