i haven't really ever tried anything very detailed. this was my first attempt at trying a more detailed image. i used a still from the dvd to paint from. i'm tryin to get myself away from using reference, but this being the first more detailed image i've done, i decided to use reference

I've just returned from watching "The Two Towers" the second time - so that look and feel is still very fresh. You did a very good job and caught the mood! I don't think that it's wrong to use reference (though it helps when one can do without) as long as it's not plain copying. And still then, who worries? Anyway, I like this piece very much and can't find any faults.

I still have to wait until 28 Feb to see the movie. It hasn't been released here yet :(
I have it Divx format DVD quality but i'm a movie frak... i want to see it on the big screen first :)
