Great picture, my only crit would be that a few spots looks like they could use a little less saturation, mostly in the buildings. The painting looks great as it is, but I'm just saying this only if you were trying to go for a more or less exact copy of the picture.

well, i actually think you got it wrong with this painting... you shouldn't have tried to redo the picture, because as it has no interpretation you just look like trying to imitate, which IS wrong. your precedent works were really good!, so please don't try to copy a foto espacially with digital tools. :^^;:

I love your previous works and this pic from you is very different and refreshing - not all monsters and space ships! :)

Sorry guys, I have disagree with both of the above. I dont think any buildings need less saturation, and I dont see anything wrong in re-doing or imitating the reference either.
I suppose if Pene Menn was actually there, at the wharf in real life and painted it, I believe it would've come out exaclty the same. If anything, the painting is more vibrant than the ref, more rich color and added sunlight and texture. I think it looks better.
As for copying foto references using digital tools, I dont see that as a big problem - its just practice. :bashful:
