Came across this great colouring tutorial by Adi Granov, good stuff
http://www.sofos.com/adi/
If you haven't seen his site check out his work. I'm looking forward to his Humanoids project.
Well I decided to give it a try. The top piece is his pencil work and the bottom is my colouring job. Let me know what you think....

and here's my colouring job, trying for a retro looking palette

....The face really isn't that green, compression issues w/ my image host...frustrating

Looks really nice. I like the shine you gave to the costume. The face is an easy fix though. Good Job! I'll try that technique out, thanks for the link:thumbsup:

Thanks for the kind comments. Adi Granov makes it really easy by breaking down the values already in his pencils, he deserves most of the credit.
Just for practice, I coloured part of one of his black and white pencil protocol droids.
I now think a lot about values way before I lay down the colour, instead of building up layers like I used to. Just a change in technique that makes me happy w/ the results
