this is a finished oil painting i did inspired by a friend who rides bikes. im thinking of doing some more in this style, cars and such, anything with speed. what does everyone think i can do to help the next ones to be better? what quality would you rate this one?

amazing work.. The bg goes with it well except for the 3 spots where you decided to use lighter colors.. its like you did it just to make a triangular shape with the light spots or something.. they distract from the important thing.. the figure on the bike.. tone them down some.. add a bright reflection coming off the muffler/helmet or something..

thanks guys, i see what you mean about the white spots, i guess i was afraid it would be too dark without it, but i like the highlight on the helmet or muffler idea. it would be cool to make into a poster and distribute, just a fantasy of mine.

I love speed. I happen to daily drive a heavily modded import (11.74 1/4 mile time). I really like it. If I saw it for sale in a coffee shop or something I'd probably buy it.
One thing I'd like to see is some hint of the track/pavement. The lack of background makes me think "stock art" Then again I'm looking through that crap all day long so...
